SSL Security Certificates

What are SSL certificates?

SSL (Secure Socket Layer) are security certificates that encrypt data when transferred from a server to a user. It allows you to use the HTTPS protocol. This is a security protocol that will provide you with protection from hackers,  hacking and other problems, as your connection from the server will be encrypted. Most often, SSL is used on commercial sites, such as our hosting, when buying or selling goods. In our case, when ordering a plan for your site.

Why it should be used on commercial and other sites?

Hackers don’t have much sense hacking a normal user without getting anything from this. Most often they try to take advantage of it.  They can redirect  money of a regular user who buys something on the Internet, to himself in the wallet. To prevent this we recommend to use SSL certificates.

On regular sites for hackers, your information data, such as name, bank accounts, or even a normal password, can be useful. You should learn it, they will be able to crack something more useful for them (provided that you have the same passwords).

What is the difference between free and paid certificates?

- Security.

When using different certificates (paid and free) they have different security, for example, free certificates don’t guarantee security for the visitor, like  the paid one.

Free certificates are issued for a period of 3 months, after which they require updating. Paid certificate  you can be use   from 1 to 3 years.

- Price.

They have different appearance, it can be seen near the website address. Free most often displayed in green lock. Paid certifecates, in turn, have the name of the organization which this site belongs

- Support of subdomains.

Paid certificates have the ability to support subdomains, in contrast to free ones, which you need to order for each subdomain separately.
